Ingredients

2 ¼ cups all purpose flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

1 cup butter (bring to room temperature)

¾ cup granulated sugar

¾ cup dark brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2 large eggs (bring to room temperature)

3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Add eggs, beating well between each.
  3. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Chill dough until firm.
  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 9­–11 minutes, until golden brown, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  6. Best enjoyed while chocolate chips are still gooey.
